Air plants are easy

What’s an Air Plant? And Why Are Your New Favorite Thing?

Officially called Tillandsia, these unique plants belong to the bromeliad family (along with pineapples!).

What makes unique is that they don’t grow in soil.

Instead, they absorb water and nutrients through tiny scales on their leaves — which makes them perfect for creative displays like our crystal air plant holders.

So, how do they survive? In their natural habitats (like tropical forests and deserts), they cling to trees and rocks, using their roots for balance, not feeding.

Yep, they’re living proof that plants can thrive with minimal fuss!

Caring for air plants is a breeze. All they need is:

  1. Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is their happy place. Near a window is perfect.

  2. Water: A quick soak in water once a week (10-20 minutes) keeps them hydrated. Shake off any excess water afterward.

(Side note: this is why we NEVER glue our air plants, like most of our competitors do. Spritzing air plants isn't nearly as effective as a quick dunk. So we made it easy to remove and return our plants to their homes.)

  3. Airflow: They love fresh air, so avoid sealing them in airtight containers.

Air plants are as low-maintenance as it gets, making them ideal for people who want a bit of greenery without a full-time plant-care job.
